The Â鶹ÊÓƵ Athletics Club is offering a free coaching session for high school students this Saturday, June 12.

The two-hour session will be held at the at 11:00am, and will provide participants with professional coaching in two events of their choice.

This opportunity is a joint initiative of the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Athletics Club and , and is made possible thanks to a $4,000 grant received through the Queensland Government’s Club Development Program.

The coaching session is targeted at 14 to 17-year-olds and is designed to act as a springboard into squad training for students interested in athletics.

Anyone who attends the session will also be given the opportunity to compete free of charge at the Â鶹ÊÓƵ All Comers Meet on Sunday, June 13.

Athletes will receive an hour of high-quality coaching for each of their two chosen events, and will also be provided with information about how they can join the University of Queensland Athletics Club.

Anyone interested in attending is encouraged to contact Daphne Grehan on (07) 3365 6013 to register their interest, however no formal registration is required.

The event is open to anyone between the ages of 14 and 17 who is interested in improving their athletics or simply trying out a new activity.
