Â鶹ÊÓƵ of Queensland expresses its deepest sympathy and concern to the people of Japan following the devastating earthquake and tsunami that hit the northeast of Japan on Friday 11th March.
Â鶹ÊÓƵ offers support to students or staff whose friends or family may be affected by earthquake and the tsunami that followed.
Students needing support can contact Student Services on 3365 1704 or come into the Student Service Office on their campus.
Student Services staff are able to provide guidance and assistance in the areas of disaster recovery support and counselling, or simply an understanding person to talk to.
Free counselling is available to staff through Â鶹ÊÓƵ's Employee Assistance Program provider, Davidson Trahaire Corpsych (DTC) telephone 1300 360 364.
The Japanese Embassy in Australia has provided emergency contact information for Japanese students and staff at .
Google has also launched a website at to assist location of friends and family.
