Â鶹ÊÓƵ of Queensland Forgan Smith building will be lit up in maroon from tomorrow until 7 June to celebrate .

Â鶹ÊÓƵ will switch on the maroon floodlights on the northern side of the Forgan Smith building from 5.30pm to 10pm each evening as part of Paint the Town Maroon – an initiative by the Queensland Government.

Queensland Week is celebrated every year and commemorates the official separation of Queensland from New South Wales.

Â鶹ÊÓƵ Property and Facilities Director Alan Egan said Â鶹ÊÓƵ will join other landmarks in Brisbane as part of Paint the Town Maroon.

“Other sites in Brisbane lighting up to celebrate Queensland Week (30 May - 7 June) are the Story Bridge, QPAC and the Treasury Hotel,” Mr Egan said.

On Wednesday this week, the Forgan Smith building was lit in red to raise awareness for multiple sclerosis as part of MS Awareness Month.
