Three University of Queensland (Â鶹ÊÓƵ) researchers have been awarded more than $2.7 million through the (ARC) .

The scheme connects universities with industry to deliver significant outcomes for end-users and translate expertise and knowledge into actionable solutions.

The three Â鶹ÊÓƵ recipients are among 25 researchers awarded a combined $24 million from the ARC’s 2023 Mid-Career Industry Fellowships.

Â鶹ÊÓƵ recipients:

  • – partnering with Micah Projects to develop greater understanding of how not-for-profit organisations can bring together their clients and governments to collaboratively solve social issues.
  • – partnering with Carbon Transport and Storage Corporation to develop innovative methods for monitoring gas leakage contamination into overlying Australian aquifer water resources.
  • – partnering with Queensland Urban Utilities to enhance the sustainability of urban water management by developing innovative technology that manufactures an iron salt used in wastewater treatment, while removing carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide and ammonia from biogas to improve its quality.

The ARC’s Industry Fellowships Program creates a pathway to support academic and industry-based researchers to increase collaboration, translation and commercialisation.
