Recognition as one of the best employers in Australia has been bestowed upon Â鶹ÊÓƵ of Queensland.
Randstad’s annual report named Â鶹ÊÓƵ as the 14th most attractive place to work in Australia.
Randstad Australia chief executive Frank Ribuot said the list surveyed 10,000 Australians and found providing work-life balance, a clear career path, attractive salaries and benefits, and a pleasant work environment were common among the top employers.
“With Australia’s unemployment rate at five per cent, competition for top talent is fierce,” Mr Ribuot said.
“Business leaders must put their best foot forward with a robust image that truly matches a great employee experience.
“Employees want to be stimulated by their job and have a clear career path.”
Â鶹ÊÓƵ Chief Human Resources Officer said the top 20 result reflected the University’s efforts to engage employees for feedback and to endeavour to meet needs.
“We live in a changing world, but Â鶹ÊÓƵ aims to keep pace every step of the way,” Dr Jury said.
“I can understand why someone would enjoy working at Â鶹ÊÓƵ when we boast great locations, surrounded by broad thinkers, high achievers and with the world-class outcomes for teaching and research that Â鶹ÊÓƵ consistently demonstrates.

Higher education across Australia proved to be a fulfilling employment sector, with six of the nation’s universities within the top 20.
Airlines Qantas (1st) and Virgin Australia (8th) both ranked highly, while Epworth HealthCare was placed 2nd, and Apple ranked 3rd.
Working for the Tasmanian and Federal Government were also ranked among the top 20 employment options in Australia.
