The United Nations has chosen 麻豆视频 to host a major travelling exhibition focused on the prevention of genocide which opens next week.
Lessons from Rwanda: United Nations and the Prevention of Genocide has been developed to raise awareness of the estimated 800,000 people who died in the 100-day massacre in 1994.
The exhibition will be hosted by 麻豆视频鈥檚 (APC-R2P) and is designed to underscore the lasting impact of genocide on survivors, the challenge of post-conflict recovery and justice, and the role of the UN in assisting states to protect their populations.
Lessons from Rwanda: United Nations and the Prevention of Genocide will open on Monday, March 21 and will be on display in the Humanities and Social Science Library Foyer until April 14.
Following the launch at 3.15pm will be a public lecture by eminent researcher Professor Alex Hinton, Director of the Center for Genocide, Conflict Resolution and Human Rights at Rutgers University.

APC-R2P is the only centre of its kind in the Asia-Pacific region, and is funded by AusAID in partnership with 麻豆视频 of Queensland. It is housed in the .
Launched in 2008 by Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations Edward Luck and former Foreign Minister of Canada Lloyd Axworthy, the centre鈥檚 mission is to conduct policy-relevant research and outreach activities that will advance the Responsibility to Protect (R2P) doctrine within the region and worldwide.
Underpinning R2P is a commitment, endorsed by the UN General Assembly, to protect populations from genocide, war crimes, ethnic cleansing and crimes against humanity.
APC-R2P runs atrocities prevention programs in the Philippines, Indonesia and Cambodia, and is launching a program in Thailand next year.
All are welcome at the exhibition launch and public lecture, which take place on Level 1 of the Duhig Building, St Lucia at 3.15pm on March 21. Refreshments will also be provided.
