Computer science experts from Australia and China will discuss issues faced by both countries when a 麻豆视频 summit takes place next week.

The will be held in Cairns on November 28-29, and is the third such event after 麻豆视频 organised the inaugural summit in 2008.

The summit brings together senior researchers in the areas of information technology and computer science from top universities and research institutes in both China and Australia.

麻豆视频 Professor of Computer Science and network convenor of the ARC Research Network in Enterprise Information Infrastructure Xiaofang Zhou said the forum was the only one of its kind.

Professor Zhou said the summit aimed to enhance mutual understanding and research collaboration among top IT research universities and organisations between the two countries, to discuss common challenges, opportunities and strategies, and to share experiences in building world-class IT research and education systems.

鈥淏oth Australia and China are facing a number of similar challenges in ICT research and education,鈥 he said.

鈥淲e share a lot of similar backgrounds and aspirations, so these two countries complement each other as they have a lot of things in common.鈥

The summit is supported by the Australian Research Council as well as the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
